Owner DirectWhen a semi-trailer ran over the Lone Oak Trailhead monument on Dakota County's Minnesota River Greenway, the county called Dimension Sign to rebuild it. We fabricated a complete double-faced replacement to the county's current greenway standards — finished in our proprietary faux-Corten paint system — and engineered it to drop onto the original, undamaged footings so the county's own crew could set it in a single morning.

Wholesale PartnerNorth Loop Green is the marquee mixed-use development in Minneapolis' North Loop — and its signage is a three-year wholesale partnership. Landmark Architectural Signs won the project, designed the program, and owns the client relationship; Dimension Sign is the fabrication shop behind it: two internally illuminated multi-tenant monuments, a backlit lobby directory, the parking garage package with its clearance bang bars, blade signs, wayfinding, and every repair and replacement since. Their client. Our shop. That's how wholesale is supposed to work.

General ContractorWhen White Bear Lake Area Schools unified its high school onto one expanded North Campus — the centerpiece of the district's 2019 bond referendum — Dimension Sign won Work Scope 10-B, the signage package, on a project run by construction manager Kraus-Anderson with Wold Architects designing. A public-bid, bonded contract with our own certified payroll. Across eight overlapping construction phases we fabricated more than 1,400 sign faces, stripped 329 legacy signs off the walls, and re-identified every door of a school that kept teaching students while it was rebuilt around them.

General ContractorAs White Bear Lake Area Schools renovated Central Middle School around a live building, Dimension Sign signed all of it — roughly 370 interior signs installed across the summer breaks of 2024 and 2025, from full-building ADA room identification to the 36-inch flat-cut aluminum district logo and the MUSIC, GYM, and A LA CARTE lettersets. The signage package started modestly. By the end, owner-added wayfinding had grown the contract six and a half times over — and it hasn't stopped: in 2026, a third year in, the construction manager came back through the GC with another round of directional signage. That kind of growth only happens when the first phase lands right.

Owner DirectWhen Pine Technical & Community College rolled out its Minnesota State identity, the campus's new front door wasn't put in the general contractor's scope — the architect's drawings say it outright: owner to contract directly for the new monument, design-build by the sign manufacturer. That manufacturer was Dimension Sign. Under an AIA design-build contract held with the Minnesota State Board of Trustees, we engineered and built the 15-foot cedar-timber entrance monument with halo-lit letters and three-pines roundels — then a matching illuminated secondary monument and a 12½-foot run of painted aluminum building letters. A complete campus identity: designed, engineered, permitted, installed.

General ContractorFor the City of Burnsville's new Fire Station #1, CNH Architects' signage spec listed our shop as an approved manufacturer in every one of its eight product categories — beside the national brands — and general contractor Welsh Construction awarded us the entire bid pack: a near-ten-foot flat-cut aluminum city logo stud-mounted to the brick, dimensional letters and address numbers, 88 three-layer thermoformed ADA signs in department colors, a cast bronze dedication plaque, MUTCD traffic signage on galvanized posts, and the frosted window films. One subcontract, every discipline — and the fire department has been ordering from us directly ever since.

General ContractorVista 44 is Beacon's new affordable apartment community in downtown Hopkins — designed by UrbanWorks Architecture, built by Shaw-Lundquist — and Dimension Sign engineered and fabricated its entire sign package on a materials-only subcontract: open-face channel letters with exposed red LED neon we ended up cutting and sealing in-house, some 140 braille ADA interior signs, UrbanWorks' facade art panel spelling the site's GPS coordinates across four different metal finishes, and the full parking and traffic package. Every piece shipped with the patterns, templates, wire whips, and instructions the GC's crews needed to set it themselves.

General ContractorApplewood Pointe is United Properties' senior cooperative brand, and since 2016 Dimension Sign has built its front door nine times: monument signs for communities in Champlin, New Brighton, Minnetonka, Roseville, Eagan, Maple Grove, Eden Prairie, and Apple Valley — every one under GC Weis Builders, every one permitted in its own city, every one reading identically to the brand. By the latest community, ordering the monument took the GC one sentence — another site, another Applewood, same as the last. That's what a sign program is for — and when that newest site called for an illuminated evolution of the design, we engineered it ourselves: a day/night cabinet that still reads as the same family.

General ContractorWhen the Minnesota Army National Guard built its Division Headquarters at the Arden Hills Army Training Site, Dimension Sign delivered the signage that defines the building — a 16-by-40-foot dimensional world map in waterjet-cut aluminum commanding the two-story atrium wall, the brushed stainless lettering on the Division Headquarters monument, the 34th Infantry's nine-by-twelve-foot red insignia set high on the facade, and dimensional letters from the Assembly Hall to the Auditorium. Every fabricator and installer on the project was security-screened, rostered, and badged — and the Guard has been ordering from us directly ever since.

Owner DirectWhen the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District and the City of Victoria rebuilt Wassermann Lake Preserve — restored prairie, oak savanna, and shoreline on Lake Wassermann — they wanted the park itself to teach. Dimension Sign won the district's direct RFQ and fabricated the entire interpretive family in quarter-inch weathering steel: an illuminated entry monument whose waterjet-cut oak canopy glows after dark, three double-faced interpretive hubs with full-color printed maps reading through the cut steel, and a trail's worth of sculptural elements — a 45-mile Watershed Walk, rolled-steel prairie oaks, wetland reading rails, a legacy-oak fire shield, and a lake chime.
Victoria, MN
General ContractorThe Lofts on Rose (Phalen Village Apartments) is a new affordable apartment community on Prosperity Avenue in St. Paul, and Dimension Sign delivered its complete signage package: 150+ ADA interior signs — unit IDs with braille for every apartment, room IDs, level indicators, stair egress, and accessible-exit signage — plus the script LOFTS on Rose building sign, a 12'-4" flat-cut aluminum canopy letterset, and cast-aluminum address numbers, all under GC Weis Builders.
St. Paul, MN
General ContractorThe Wilford is a new apartment building a block off Lake Waconia's downtown — and it wasn't even called The Wilford when we won it. Bid and permitted as Olive & Second with plain aluminum letters, the project rebranded mid-construction, and Dimension Sign delivered the entire new identity by change order: face-lit trimless channel letters over an illuminated LAKE WACONIA light box at both entrances, a halo-lit W blade sign on the street corner, the interior designer's gold-on-wood plaque system through every unit door and amenity space, ADA stair and code signage, and the garage package — clearance bars, RESIDENTS ONLY door graphics, and evacuation maps.

An illuminated 48-by-48-inch lobby logo for a wealth-management firm at 901 Marquette in downtown Minneapolis: half-inch white acrylic push-through graphics in an aluminum cabinet, lit from within with a halo washing the wall behind it.

Owner DirectWhen Hennepin Technical College renamed a building the Public Safety & Police Science Center, its Brooklyn Park campus needed its whole exterior wayfinding family to catch up — and the college didn't hand that to a general contractor. It contracted Dimension Sign directly, under a signed agreement with the Minnesota State board, to carry the entire program: ten new post-and-panel directional signs standardizing a decade of piecemeal signs into one clean family, and two campus monuments refurbished in place. Design, fabrication, paint, utility locates, footings, and field install — one contract, from drawing to dirt.
Brooklyn Park, MN
General ContractorAs the St. Croix Central school district grew across a bond building program in Hammond, Wisconsin, Dimension Sign was the single Division 10 signage partner behind it — brought in by general contractor Market & Johnson of Eau Claire, one of several jobs the GC has handed us. We delivered the full interior ADA and wayfinding package for the campus and the dimensional aluminum identity letters naming the district's new Greg Green Early Learning Center and its 4K early-learning wing: design, engineered submittals, fabrication, and install, choreographed around a live, occupied school.
Hammond, WI
General ContractorFor the City of Brandon's water treatment plant expansion in the Sioux Falls metro, Dimension Sign delivered the entire Section 10 14 00 signage scope — a full interior ADA identification program across two buildings and a color-matched cast dedication plaque — for general contractor Rice Lake West. Every sign was drawn, submitted, reviewed by the engineer of record, corrected, and approved before a single one was cut. The whole program was fabricated in Minnesota and shipped to South Dakota. We never set foot on the site.
